International cooperation

The division has been cooperating in various forms.

Currently our division participates in two projects:

Department cooperate in scientific/didactic topics:

  • in pentagon: Lithuania-Poland-Portugal- Spain-United Kingdom in the field of Construction Management (mainly: quality management and decision support)
  • Bilateral cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – in the field of flexible approach in engineering design and system design and management
  • Bilateral cooperation in with HAMK University (Finland) – in the field of engineering entrepreneurship

Particularly noteworthy is the continued cooperation with the following centers (internships, lectures, seminars):

  • VGTU – Vilnius,
  • Technion – Haifa,
  • University of Artois – Bethune,
  • University of Greenwich – Dartford

    Ukraine: NIISP and the University Building in Kiev Ukrainian membership in the Academy of Architecture (Prof. O. Kapliński).

    Lithuania: participation in committees doctoral and habilitation (VGTU – Vilnius), membership in the college magazine editorial Civil Engineering and Management, Property Management, UKIO; VGTU an honorary doctorate in 1996

    For several years, the employees of the Department are involved in international cooperation in the triangle Lithuania – Germany – Poland, organizing joint seminars, consulting works publicity by publishing their work in these centers. The Lithuanian side is represented by the Department of Technology and Management in Construction – VGTU (Prof. E. Zavadskas). Partners in Germany are: prof. F. Peldschus (Leipzig) and prof. R Seeling (Aachen). Division of Construction Technology and Management is the only partner representing Poland.

    A characteristic feature of this cooperation are colloquia under the name: „Planungsinstrumente für das Project Management” held every two years, alternately in different centers (Leipzig, Achen, Vilnius, Poznań). last meeting was on May 15, 2013.
